I have been invited to be a judge of student’s work at this year’s One Show in China. The students were tasked to promote a Campaign by HP called “My computer my stage”. They were tasked with creating content that could potentially be ‘viral’ in nature. Attached below are some entries, Which I found were interesting. Jason Bruges Studio

A cool studio that does interactive installation. In collaboration with U2 lighting designer Willie Williams, Jason Bruges Studio designed a system to produce interactive visuals for George Michael’s live shows. The singer wanted movement tracking and generative visuals controlled by his voice and other instruments for a range of songs within the set list.

Been awhile since the last post. Now all of my video are blocked in china sigh. As some of you may know, I was doing Vjing duties back in 2002 played at zouk in singapore and also for Dubpistols & Telepop music etc.

but stopped after i found that the technology couldn’t support my ideas that I had at that time. Namely sound reactive visuals on the fly with audio effects, projection mapping and also flash actionscript with realtime interaction..

Enter Resolume Avenue 3.0.

When I saw what it could do and how it addressed all my needs, I made a decision need to get back into it. I recommend you to try it out if you’re interested. So boy’s and girls, i will be playing again after 6years. yeepee, this saturday 14Nov in Shanghai @Anar. add 129 Xingfu Lu, near Fahuazhen Lu, see you there.

Converse lyrics launched

The team has worked on the Converse Lyrics campaign for a while. Finally the audience participation component of the campaign has launched.”LET’S PLAY” is the tune QSBS (Queen Sea Big Shark) has written, the idea is for youth to write lyrics to the tune the band has created. Sad that this idea is so small now, the initial idea was to get 10 bands around Asia to record a track each for a total of 10 tracks and get the public to write the lyrics to the tracks and release the music as a collaborative edition converse CD.Well, guess the budget didnt allow for it.Bummer…
